Kika Sprangers is a Dutch saxophonist and composer known for her lyrical style and innovative compositions. Her 2019 debut album, "Human Traits," was nominated for the Edison Jazz Award. In 2022, she released "Mind's Eye," created during the lockdown in the empty TivoliVredenburg concert hall. Sprangers received the Rogier van Otterloo Award in 2021, which included a composition commission for Jong Metropole and a monetary prize. Her music blends modern jazz with neoclassical elements, and she frequently collaborates with vocalist Anna Serierse.
