Kittie is a Canadian heavy metal band formed in 1996 in London, Ontario. The original lineup consisted of Morgan Lander (vocals, guitar), Mercedes Lander (drums), Fallon Bowman (guitar), and Tanya Candler (bass). Their debut album, "Spit," released in 1999, achieved Gold certification in the United States. In 2001, they released "Oracle," which included a cover of Pink Floyd's "Run Like Hell." Known for their aggressive style, Kittie contributed to the popularization of the nu metal genre. Throughout their career, the band underwent several lineup changes, with the Lander sisters remaining constant members.
