KMD was an American hip-hop group active from 1988 to 1994, known for their albums "Mr. Hood" (1991) and "Black Bastards" (recorded in 1993, released in 2000). The group consisted of brothers Daniel "Zev Love X" Dumile and Dingilizwe "DJ Subroc" Dumile. After DJ Subroc's death in 1993 and subsequent conflicts with Elektra Records, the group disbanded. Zev Love X later continued his career as MF DOOM.
