Ivan Král was a Czech musician, composer, and producer who worked in rock, pop, and punk genres. He was a member of the Patti Smith Group, contributing to albums such as "Horses" and "Easter". Together with Patti Smith, he co-wrote "Dancing Barefoot", later covered by artists like U2 and Pearl Jam. After leaving the Patti Smith Group, he collaborated with Iggy Pop on the albums "Soldier" and "Party".
