La Bouche is a German-American Eurodance duo formed in 1994 in Frankfurt am Main. The original lineup consisted of singer Melanie Thornton and rapper Lane McCray. Their most notable songs include "Be My Lover" and "Sweet Dreams". Their debut album, "Sweet Dreams" (1995), achieved platinum status in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. After Thornton's departure in 2000 and her tragic death in 2001, McCray continued the project with various female vocalists. In 2017, they released a remix titled "Sweet Dreams 2017".
