Lady Wray, born Nicole Monique Wray on May 2, 1979, in Salinas, California, is an American singer and songwriter. She began her career in 1998 with the debut single "Make It Hot," which achieved gold certification. In 2012, she formed the duo Lady with Terri Walker, releasing the album "Lady." After Walker's departure, she continued as Lady Wray, releasing "Queen Alone" (2016) and "Piece of Me" (2022). Her music blends R&B and soul with hip-hop influences. She has collaborated with artists such as Missy Elliott and The Black Keys. In 2023, she performed at the NPR Tiny Desk concert.
