Lambert, Hendricks & Ross was an American jazz vocal trio consisting of Dave Lambert, Jon Hendricks, and Annie Ross. Active from the late 1950s to the early 1960s, they were known for their innovative approach to jazz singing, particularly in the style known as "vocalese." Their debut album, "Sing a Song of Basie," received a Grammy Hall of Fame Award in 1998. Other notable albums include "The Swingers!," "Sing Along with Basie," and "The Hottest New Group in Jazz." The trio won a Grammy Award for Best Performance by a Vocal Group in 1962 for their album "High Flying." After Annie Ross left in 1962, she was replaced by Yolande Bavan, and the group continued as Lambert, Hendricks & Bavan until 1964.
