Las Mosquitas was Argentina's first female beat band, comprising Stella Maris Conde (Pupé) on vocals and guitar, María Cristina Medina (Nita) on bass, Ana María Millán (Nené) on vocals and guitar, and Beatriz Cabrera (Dina) on drums. In 1965, they released their sole album under the Music Hall label, featuring original compositions and Spanish versions of contemporary hits. Their music blended rock&roll, surf, beat, and ye-yé styles. The band toured extensively in Argentina and internationally, including Panama, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Puerto Rico, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, and Curaçao, garnering widespread acclaim and popularity.
