Laurence Kilsby is a British tenor who began his career as a boy soprano with the Tewkesbury Abbey Schola Cantorum. He studied at the Royal College of Music in London and the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. Kilsby has won first prizes in several international competitions, including the Das Lied Competition at the Heidelberger Frühling Festspiele, the Wigmore Hall/Bollinger International Song Competition, and the Cesti Competition at the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik. He has performed at notable events such as the Salzburger Festspiele, Berliner Festspiele, and BBC Proms. In 2024, he released his debut album "Awakenings" with pianist Ella O'Neill, featuring works by composers like Brahms, Wolf, Saint-Saëns, and Britten.
