Leonie Klein is a German percussionist born in 1993, specializing in contemporary music. She studied at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, earning a master's degree in percussion under Isao Nakamura and a master's in music journalism. Her debut CD, "Gathering Thunders," was released in 2018, followed by "Chattering Birds" in 2023. Klein has performed at festivals such as the ECLAT Festival Stuttgart and Beethovenfest Bonn. She has collaborated with musicians like Isao Nakamura and Fritz Hauser. In 2020, she received the Mamlok Prize for performers of contemporary music. She is also a Yamaha Artist and served as a guest professor at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe during the winter semester of 2023/24.
