Leroy Van Dyke is an American country singer and guitarist, best known for his hits "The Auctioneer" (1956) and "Walk on By" (1961). Born in Mora, Missouri, he graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in agricultural journalism. Throughout his career, he has recorded over 500 songs, with "Walk on By" being named by Billboard magazine in 1994 as the biggest country single of all time, spending 19 weeks at number one on the country chart and a total of 42 weeks on the charts. Van Dyke is also a member of the National Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame.
