Lia Ices is an American singer-songwriter from Westport, Connecticut, currently residing in Northern California. Born as Lia Kessel in Chicago, she began playing piano at the age of five. She studied theater at the Walnut Hill School for the Arts and later at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Her debut album, "Necima," was released in 2008, followed by "Grown Unknown" in 2011, which features a duet with Justin Vernon of Bon Iver. In 2014, she released "Ices," and in 2021, "Family Album."
