Lincoln Goines is an American bassist, composer, and educator known for his versatility in the New York jazz, Latin, and studio scenes. Over his more than forty-year career, he has collaborated with artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, Sonny Rollins, Gato Barbieri, Carly Simon, Dave Grusin, Paquito D'Rivera, Michel Camilo, Tania Maria, Eliane Elias, Michael Brecker, Bob Berg, Bob Mintzer, Mike Stern, and Wayne Krantz. Goines is also the author and co-author of several publications on bass guitar playing and serves as a professor at Berklee College of Music in Boston and at the Bass Collective in New York City.
