Linda Hayes was an American rhythm and blues singer prominent in the 1950s. Her major hits included "Yes! I Know (What You're Putting Down)," which reached number 2 on the R&B chart in 1953, and "Take Me Back," which entered the Top 10 in 1954. She was the older sister of Tony Williams, the lead singer of The Platters, and briefly a member of the group. In 1959, she toured Europe with Bill Haley & His Comets. Her 1950s recordings were reissued in the compilation "Yes! I Know" in 2021.
