Longwave is an American indie rock band formed in 1999 in New York City. Their second album, "The Strangest Things," produced by Dave Fridmann, was released in 2003 and includes singles "Wake Me When It's Over" and "Tidal Wave." After a hiatus, the band reunited in 2018 and released "If We Ever Live Forever" in 2019. In January 2024, they issued a 20th-anniversary reissue of "The Strangest Things" on red vinyl and performed at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City.
