Lorraine Campet is a French double bassist who began playing the instrument at the age of 5. She graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and served as the second solo double bassist with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France from 2015 to 2022. In October 2024, she became the principal solo double bassist with the Orchestre de l’Opéra de Paris. In May 2025, she released her debut album "Âmes sœurs" with pianist Nathanaël Gouin, featuring works by Schubert, Schumann, Beethoven, and Josephine Lang.
