Louis Armstrong (1901–1971) was an American jazz trumpeter and vocalist, known by the nicknames "Satchmo" and "Pops". Born in New Orleans, his career spanned five decades. Armstrong was a pioneer in shifting jazz from collective improvisation to solo performances. His most notable songs include "What a Wonderful World", "La Vie en Rose", and "Hello, Dolly!". He collaborated with artists like Ella Fitzgerald and appeared in films such as "High Society" and "Hello, Dolly!".
