Luke Daniels is an English multi-instrumentalist, singer, and composer who grew up in Sonning Common, South Oxfordshire. Specializing in melodeon within the Irish tradition, he gained recognition after winning the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award in 1992. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists such as Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, De Dannan, and was a member of the Riverdance band. Daniels is proficient in playing guitar, piano, accordion, and melodeon. In 2016, he restored a 19th-century Polyphon music machine, integrating it into his performances. He has served as a tutor in traditional music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and was the Folk Musician in Residence at the Scottish National Museum of Rural Life.
