Madlib, born Otis Jackson Jr., is an American producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist known for his eclectic approach to hip-hop. He began his career in the 1990s as a member of the group Lootpack. In 2000, he released "The Unseen" under the alias Quasimoto. In 2004, he collaborated with MF DOOM on the album "Madvillainy." With Freddie Gibbs, he released "Piñata" (2014) and "Bandana" (2019). Madlib is also known for his jazz projects, such as Yesterdays New Quintet, and production work for artists like J Dilla and Erykah Badu.
