Magnus Granberg is a Swedish composer and performer operating at the intersection of improvisation and contemporary chamber music. Born in Umeå in 1974, he studied saxophone and improvised music in Gothenburg and New York. In 2005, he founded his own ensemble, Skogen. His work often draws from existing musical materials, transforming them into new compositions. Notable works include "Night Will Fade and Fall Apart" and "Would Fall from the Sky, Would Wither and Die". Granberg has collaborated with various ensembles, such as Tya Ensemble and Ordinary Affects.
