MaidaVale is a Swedish psychedelic rock band formed in 2012 in Fårösund on the island of Gotland. The group consists of Matilda Roth (vocals), Sofia Ström (guitar), Linn Johannesson (bass guitar), and Johanna Hansson (drums). They have released three studio albums: "Tales of the Wicked West" (2016), "Madness Is Too Pure" (2018), and "Sun Dog" (2024). Their music blends elements of psychedelic rock, krautrock, post-punk, funkadelia, and North African blues. They have collaborated with producers such as Kalle Gustafsson Jerneholm and György Barocsai and have performed at festivals like Manchester Psych Fest and Desertfest in Berlin.
