Malignant is a black death metal band from the southern Netherlands, formed in 1989. Their debut demo, 'Day of the Lord', was originally released in 1990 and includes tracks 'Sinister Expiration', 'Lord of Darkness', and 'Day of the Lord'. The band is known for its raw and extreme metal style. Members included Ron van de Pol (bass, vocals) and Roel Sanders (drums), who later played in notable bands such as Asphyx and God Dethroned. In 2023, the 'Day of the Lord' demo was remastered and reissued with new cover art and extensive liner notes. The products available from the artist Malignant include CDs.
