Mao Fujita is a Japanese pianist born in Tokyo. In 2017, he won first prize at the prestigious Concours International de Piano Clara Haskil in Switzerland. In 2019, he earned the silver medal at the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. In October 2022, he released his debut album on the Sony Classical label, featuring Mozart's complete piano sonatas. In 2024, he released the album "72 Preludes," which includes 24 preludes by Chopin, Scriabin, and Japanese composer Akio Yashiro.
