Marcelle Meyer was a French pianist born on May 22, 1897, in Lille. She studied at the Paris Conservatoire under Alfred Cortot and Marguerite Long. Meyer was closely associated with the group of composers known as Les Six, including Francis Poulenc and Darius Milhaud. She was renowned for her interpretations of works by composers such as Jean-Philippe Rameau, François Couperin, and Domenico Scarlatti.
