Marco Vitale is an Italian harpsichordist and expert in historical keyboard instruments. In 2014, he released the album "Ruckers-Cembalo 1604," featuring performances on an original 1604 harpsichord built by the Ruckers brothers in Antwerp. This instrument was discovered in Italy around 2000 and is the only surviving 6-foot Ruckers harpsichord in its original condition. The album includes works by composers such as Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, William Byrd, and Martin Peerson. Vitale is known for his interpretations of Renaissance and Baroque music on historical instruments.
