Marike Jager is a Dutch singer-songwriter born in Amersfoort. During her travels through Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and South Africa, she learned to play the guitar and wrote her first song, "Lizzy." Upon returning to the Netherlands, she won several music competitions, including the "Grote Prijs van Nederland" in the singer-songwriter category in 2003. In 2006, she released her debut album, "The Beauty Around," under her own label, Morning Coffee Records. This was followed by albums "Celia Trigger" (2008), "Here Comes the Night" (2011), and "Hey Are You OK" (2019). Her music blends elements of pop and indie, and she has collaborated with artists like Feist and received nominations for the Edison Awards.
