Marillion is a British neo-progressive rock band formed in 1979 in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. The original lineup included Mick Pointer (drums), Doug Irvine (bass guitar, vocals), Steve Rothery (guitar), and Brian Jelliman (keyboards). In 1981, vocalist Fish joined the band, later replaced by Steve Hogarth in 1989. Notable albums include "Script for a Jester's Tear" (1983) and "Misplaced Childhood" (1985), which reached number one on the UK Albums Chart.
