Marion Williams was an American gospel singer known for her powerful and emotive voice. After leaving The Famous Ward Singers in the 1950s, she formed The Stars Of Faith. Together, they released albums such as "Somebody Bigger Than You And I" and "The Upper Room - The Beloved Songs Of Lucie Campbell". Williams was honored by the MacArthur Foundation in 1993 and was one of the recipients of the Kennedy Center Honors in the same year. Her music had a significant impact on the gospel genre.
