Mark Stewart is a British musician known as the founder and frontman of the post-punk band The Pop Group. After the band's dissolution in 1980, he pursued a solo career, releasing his debut album "Learning to Cope with Cowardice" in 1983. Stewart is recognized for his experimental approach to music, blending elements of electronic, dub, and post-punk genres. He has collaborated with artists such as Keith Levene, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, and Primal Scream. His 2012 album "Exorcism of Envy" is a dub-style reinterpretation of his previous album "The Politics of Envy".
