Marta Kubišová is a Czech singer known for her deep alto voice and significant contributions to pop music. In the 1960s, she was a member of the trio Golden Kids alongside Helena Vondráčková and Václav Neckář. Her song "Modlitba pro Martu" became a symbol of resistance against the 1968 occupation. After being banned from performing between 1970 and 1989, she returned to the stage during the Velvet Revolution in 1989. She has released albums such as "Songy a balady" (1969) and "Vítej, lásko" (2005). In 1998, she was inducted into the Czech Academy of Popular Music's Hall of Fame.
