Marutyri is an eight-member instrumental fusion band from Rotterdam, founded in September 2014. In 2015, they performed at the prestigious North Sea Jazz Festival and won the NPO Radio 6 Soul & Jazz Award for Best Talent. Their debut album, "Inner Movements," was released in 2016 under Challenge Records. Marutyri's music is characterized by deep grooves, intense harmonies, and well-crafted arrangements, with all compositions written by the band members. On "Inner Movements," they collaborated with a string section, enriching their sound.
