Massacra was a French death metal band formed in 1986 in Franconville, Val-d'Oise. The band was known for its aggressive style, combining elements of death and thrash metal. Their debut album, "Final Holocaust," was released in 1990, followed by "Enjoy the Violence" (1991) and "Signs of the Decline" (1992). In 1994, they released "Sick," which marked a shift towards groove metal. The band disbanded in 1997 after guitarist Fred Duval died of skin cancer.
