Matt Brewer is an American jazz bassist, born in Oklahoma City and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Coming from a musical family; his father is a trombonist and his mother worked as a jazz radio DJ. Brewer began playing bass at age 10 and studied at the Interlochen Arts Academy and later at the Juilliard School. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists such as Greg Osby, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Vijay Iyer, and Mark Turner. He has released albums including "Mythology" (2014), "Unspoken" (2016), and "Ganymede" (2019). Brewer is also a faculty member at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and The New School in New York. The products available from the artist Matt Brewer include CDs.
