Mattias Devriendt is a Belgian pianist and composer from Ghent. He began learning piano at the age of nine. In 2004, he joined the band Monserey and, since 2022, has also performed as a solo artist. In 2024, he released four EPs titled "Simplicity," "Contension," "Equinamity," and "Opposition" under the BRG Benelux label. That same year, he also released a vinyl album titled "As I Lay Down." His music is influenced by artists such as Radiohead, Philip Glass, and Nils Frahm. In October 2023, he was named Gent's Citizen of the Month.
