Medium Build is the musical project of singer-songwriter Nicholas Carpenter, originally from Georgia and currently based in Anchorage, Alaska. While studying songwriting at Middle Tennessee State University, he founded the indie rock band Little Moses. In 2016, he moved to Alaska and began performing under the name Medium Build. He has released five studio albums, including "Falling Apart" (2016), "Softboy" (2018), "Roughboy" (2018), and "Wild" (2019). In 2024, he released the album "Country" and the "Marietta" EP, featuring a collaboration with Julien Baker on the track "Yoke." His music blends elements of indie pop, alternative rock, and folk.
