Mehenet is a black metal band from New Orleans, Louisiana. Their second album, "Ng'ambu," was released on September 10, 2021, through Gilead Media. The album comprises five tracks interpreted as hymns to invoke and praise spirits, reflecting the band's personal connection to the Afro-Brazilian religious system Quimbanda. The recording was captured and mixed in 2019 by James Whitten at High Tower Recording in New Orleans and mastered by Dėha at Opus Magnum Studio in Brussels, Belgium.
