Mercyless is a French death metal band formed in 1987 in Mulhouse. The band gained international recognition with albums such as "Abject Offerings" (1992) and "Coloured Funeral" (1993). Their music combines elements of death and thrash metal, with lyrics focusing on anti-Christian and mystical themes. After a hiatus from 2001 to 2011, they returned with "Unholy Black Splendor" (2013) and continued their work with "Pathetic Divinity" (2016) and "The Mother of All Plagues" (2020). Mercyless is considered one of the pioneers of the French death metal scene.
