Michael Doucet is an American fiddler, composer, and bandleader known for his role in revitalizing Cajun music. As the founder and leader of BeauSoleil, he has earned two Grammy Awards and was the first Cajun artist to receive this honor. In 2020, he released the solo album "Lâcher Prise," blending traditional Acadian melodies with elements of swamp soul and other genres. Doucet is also a recipient of the National Heritage Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, the highest honor in the folk and traditional arts in the United States.
