Michael Palmer, also known as Palma Dog, is a Jamaican reggae musician born in 1960 in Maxfield Park, Kingston. He began his career in the late 1970s performing with sound systems such as Stereophonic Sound with General Echo. In 1984, he achieved a number one hit in Jamaica with "Lick Shot" produced by George Phang. His notable albums include "Lickshot" (1982), "Star Performer" (1984), and "Pull It Up Now" (1985).
