Michel Petrucciani was a French jazz pianist renowned for his virtuosity and unique style. Despite osteogenesis imperfecta, which caused brittle bones and short stature, he became a significant figure in the jazz world. Throughout his career, he released 16 studio albums and was the first non-American artist to sign with Blue Note Records. His music includes works like "Pianism" and "Live at the Village Vanguard". He collaborated with notable musicians such as Charles Lloyd and Wayne Shorter. He passed away in 1999 due to a pulmonary infection.
