Michelle Helene Mackenzie and Stefan Maier are Canadian experimental musicians known for their collaboration on the album "Orchid Mantis." This project draws inspiration from the history of Sanzhi Pod City in northern Taiwan, an abandoned city known for its futuristic buildings and natural reclamation. Their music combines carefully designed pace and progression, utilizing resonance and stridulation to create subtle sonic materials that guide the listener into various worlds. The album was released in May 2025 under the Portraits GRM label.
