Michelle Pritchard is an Australian violist who began her musical education at the age of eight. After overcoming a severe corneal condition that affected her vision, she underwent a corneal transplant and continued her viola studies in Sydney and Tasmania. In 2022, she moved to the Netherlands to study at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague under Ásdís Valdimarsdóttir. Together with Dutch pianist Natasja Douma, she released the album "Vision," featuring works by composers such as Henri Casadesus, Rebecca Clarke, Géza Frid, and Elena Kats-Chernin. Pritchard is active in both Australian and Dutch music scenes and is known for her advocacy of the viola.
