Mickey & Sylvia was an American R&B and rock 'n' roll duo active in the 1950s and 1960s. The duo consisted of guitarist Mickey Baker and singer Sylvia Vanderpool. Their most famous hit is "Love Is Strange" from 1956, which became a classic example of early rock 'n' roll. The duo was known for their innovative use of the electric guitar and vocal harmonies. After disbanding in the 1960s, both pursued solo careers; Sylvia Vanderpool later became a significant figure in hip-hop music as Sylvia Robinson.
