Middle Brother is an American rock band composed of John J. McCauley III from Deer Tick, Taylor Goldsmith from Dawes, and Matt Vasquez from Delta Spirit. Formed in 2009, they played their first official show on December 20, 2010, in Los Angeles. Their self-titled debut album was released on March 1, 2011, under Partisan Records, featuring 12 tracks including "Daydreaming," "Blue Eyes," and "Million Dollar Bill." The band is known for blending indie folk, folk rock, and alternative country. In 2021, Middle Brother reunited for a performance at the Newport Folk Festival, where they played their entire debut album.
