Mike Taylor was a British jazz composer and pianist known for his innovative approaches in the 1960s. He recorded two albums: "Pendulum" (1966) and "Trio" (1967), collaborating with musicians like Jon Hiseman and Jack Bruce. Three of his compositions with lyrics by Ginger Baker appeared on Cream's "Wheels of Fire" (1968) album. Taylor's music blended elements of hard bop and avant-garde jazz. After his death in 1969, his contributions were honored with the album "Mike Taylor Remembered" (1973), featuring leading British jazz musicians.
