Mike Watt is an American bassist and vocalist, known as a co-founder of the bands Minutemen and Firehose. In 2004, he released his third solo album, "The Secondman's Middle Stand," inspired by his battle with a severe infection in 2000 and paralleling Dante's "Divine Comedy." The album was recorded with the trio The Secondmen, consisting of Watt, organist Pete Mazich, and drummer Jerry Trebotic.
