Misery Index is an American death metal band formed in 2001 in Baltimore, Maryland. Their music blends death metal with elements of hardcore punk and grindcore. They released their debut album, "Retaliate," in 2003 under Nuclear Blast. Subsequent albums include "Discordia" (2006), "Traitors" (2008), and "Heirs to Thievery" (2010).
