Morpheus Descends is an American death metal band formed in 1990 in Middletown, New York. Originally known as Morpheus, the band released their debut album "Ritual of Infinity" in 1992 under JL America. After several lineup changes and a temporary disbandment in 1998, the group reunited in 2013. Morpheus Descends is considered a significant contributor to the New York death metal scene.
