Münchener Freiheit is a German pop and rock band formed in 1980 in Munich. Their name is derived from a square in Munich, meaning "Munich freedom". The band is known for hits like "Ohne dich (schlaf ich heut Nacht nicht ein)" and "Tausendmal du". In 1988, they achieved international success with the English version of "So lang' man Träume noch leben kann" titled "Keeping the Dream Alive", which reached number 14 on the UK Singles Chart.
