Murry Hammond is an American musician, best known as the co-founder and bassist of the alt-country band Old 97's. In 2008, he released his first solo album, "I Don't Know Where I'm Going But I'm On My Way," followed by "Trail Songs of the Deep" in 2025. His music is influenced by country, folk, and Americana genres. Hammond is also known for his whistling, which adds a unique element to his songs. In addition to his solo work, he continues to collaborate with Old 97's and other musicians.
